With financial support of the Government of Sweden, the 2023 Türkiye Youth Research, conducted jointly by Hacettepe University Institute of Population Studies and UNFPA, delved into the lives of 15-24-year-old young people in Türkiye. The study explored their living conditions, educational attainment, employment status, sexual and reproductive health knowledge, and attitudes towards child marriage. By surveying nearly 1,300 young people across 67 provinces, the research provides valuable insights to inform the development of youth-friendly policies and practices. The findings highlight the need to address critical issues such as sexual and reproductive health and child marriage, and to empower young people to make informed decisions about their lives.

The 2023 Türkiye Youth Research surveyed approximately 1,300 young people aged 15-24 from diverse backgrounds across Türkiye. This comprehensive study explored the demographics, living conditions, education, employment, sexual and reproductive health knowledge, and attitudes towards child marriage of these young individuals.

The collected data compiled into two separate reports; the quantitative data in "Sexual and Reproductive Health & Child, Early and Forced Marriages in Youth" and the qualitative data in "Child, Early and Forced Marriages from the Perspectives of the Youth". This research provides invaluable insights to inform the development of more effective policies for young people in Türkiye.
