Two devastating earthquakes shaking Türkiye at its core have affected 15 million directly. Half of them are women and girls.

There are currently 214,000 pregnant women in the affected region, 24,000 of whom will give birth within a month. They need urgent support. As UNFPA, we are in the field supporting authorities to address the essential hygiene needs of women and girls and to provide safe conditions for pregnant women to give birth.
