It has been exactly 1.5 years since the earthquakes of February 6, 2023, yet living conditions in the earthquake region are still challenging. Despite all efforts, the needs continue in the areas such as shelter, sanitation, social spaces and access to services.

UNFPA has been on the ground since day one with the support of the donors and the devoted cooperation of the partners, providing health and protection services, especially to women, young people, and groups with special needs.

We visited those women and young people in the field, listened to their experiences and ongoing needs; we joined hands once again not to forget, not to let them be forgotten, and to heal together with solidarity
