Job Summary:

 

The Programme Analyst, SRH &FP assists in the analysis and assessment of relevant political, social and economic trends, guiding and facilitating the delivery of UNFPA’s programmes. You will report to the UNFPA Programme Specialist, SRH.

 

You will contribute to the design, planning,implementation and reporting of UNFPA’s SRH activities  with special focus on reducing unmet for FP and addressing underlying causes of low FP access by analyzing relevant political, social, economic, epidemiological and disaster/conflict/ emergency trends and providing inputs to UN Humanitarian Response Frameworks, as well as the development works. You will assist in monitoring results achieved during implementation, guiding the appropriate application of systems and procedures, and developing enhancements as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

Education: 

  • Advanced university degree is required; having an advanced degree in SRH, medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, public health, nursing or midwifery is an asset.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Up to five years professional experience in working on health issues, out of which at least 2 years working directly on SRH and FP.
  • Experience in working with national and local authorities and NGOs is an asset.
  • Experience in working with international organizations is an asset.
  • Experience using office software packages and web-based management systems.

Languages:

  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and Turkish is required.
