In the scope of the United Nations Joint Programme for Elimination of Child, Early and Forced Marriages, which started in December 2022 with the financial support of the Swedish Government, the joint initiative of UNFPA and Teachers Network, Teacher Empowerment Project for Preventing Child, Early and Forced Marriages (CEFM), yielded the “Prevention and Intervention Guide for Child, Early and/or Forced Marriages: Practices for Teachers”in order to empower teachers who play a very important role in raising awareness for the prevention of CEFM and to inform them about support mechanisms.
The Prevention and Intervention Guide for Child, Early and/or Forced Marriages: Practices for Teachers was prepared for educators who are seeking to improve or who plan to work on combating child marriages. The texts and activities in the guide can be used by teachers, school and/or psychological counselors.
