Every day, 800 million women and girls between the ages of 15-49 in the world menstruate. On average, a woman menstruates for seven years of her life. This is a serious problem, especially for vulnerable groups. Menstrual hygiene products, which cannot be accessed especially because they are very expensive, are of vital importance for women and girls. The report prepared by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) with the support of the Embassy of Sweden, SIDA reveals the details of this phenomenon called "period poverty".
