A Guideline for Media Workers on Prevention of CEFM

The United Nations Joint Programme for the Prevention of Child, Early, and Forced Marriage in Turkey, implemented by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), International Organization for Migration (IOM), United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) and United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) with the financial assistance of Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) takes a multi-sectoral and holistic approach for conducting both prevention and intervention activities to strengthen national mechanisms for protection of women and children, and to promote positive social norms aiming to prevent child, early and forced marriages. In this scope and with this aim, this guideline has been prepared for media workers for the prevenion of child, early and forced marriages.

Turkey Digital Violence Research 2021

Situation Report

With the increasing use of internet and the development of technological tools, the phenomenon of violence gains new dimensions. In this context, in addition to their functions of increasing socialization and communication with their many practical features that facilitate daily life for users, digital technologies and online environments might also appear as problematic areas in which individuals and/or groups inflict violence on each other. This study has been prepared in scope of the Struggle Against Digital Violence Project implemented by Common Knowledge and Communication Association (CKCA) with the financial support of UNFPA Turkey, aiming to revealing the situation in Turkey regarding this new type of violence known as digital violence.
